Iron man

In iron man we firstly see a mixture of colour's and mis en scene that contributes to the over all effect. The character, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr) starts in a red shirt in a casino. This starts the idea of Danger and a thrill lived life, the red being a symbol for danger and the location an obvious idea of chance and luck. The fact he loses in the casino sets the idea he is not as invincible as the original thought. Through out the beginning we see Tony in a Dark suit showing his dark lifestyle that can cause pain to others and seemingly him not caring. It also in portrayed with him being a weapons manufacturer. The house that we see inside has a main facility down stairs which shows that under the exterior Tony does have a much more sensitive side, whilst still maintaining his comical nature. When the First suit is shown to us, we see a rough silver contraption. Although it works it shows that it will be second best to what's to come and this paves the way for the much cooler suit. The Red and Gold on the suit shows the mix of danger and upgrade. Whilst the film progresses we see the development of another suit which again is silver. This allows us to feel as if it is second best again to Tony's suit which is proved in the final battle. During the film the outside world colours portray a much darker situation with a lot of scenes being in the dark.

Iron man 2

In this film we see a successful sequel to the first film with a new enemy. Tony improves his invention so it can be used in any situation. We see a continued theme of colour through out the film with Tony in Red and Gold and the enemy in Grey and silver. Again this shows that the other inventions are second to Tony's. There is a developed colour of blue. Although it is on Tony's Core, the enemy uses it as a main part of his outfit. The clever use of Tony's office in this film shows that although Tony is open with his life, there are still secrets confined with the cellar. The Constant destruction of Tony's building show the nature of His Illness which we see develop through the film and could symbolise the destruction of his world around him.

James Bond - On her majesties secret service

during this film we see firstly again that colour is very important during this film also. The red on a white shirt is a clever use of the idea that death comes to all even if they pretend to be good... Also the Dark suit reappears in a classic Bond theme. This shows his double nature of a secret again and a swarve playboy nature. The Bond Girl is a clever use of sex to sell the product. The classic Bond girl is blonde with a capable chest. The car is an important part of the Bond persona. It is silver showing it is not invincible and certainly not the best. this adds a humanistic view to the character. However it is still fast with gadgets which keeps the idea of a winning nature.
